Hot-headed boxer Shravan comes from the lowest caste and is determined to become a professional. However, his career seems to be over when he gives his boss Bhagwan – local don and head promoter for boxing fights – a right hook. In revenge, Baghwan tries to sabotage Shravan’s boxing career by any means possible. And he won’t tolerate Shravan’s love for Sunaina, Baghwan’s niece either. Instead, he seizes any opportunity to punish and humiliate Shravan.

But he had reckoned without Shravan’s unwavering determination, who had been the underdog all his life and will not stop at anything to achieve his goal now.

‘Mukkabaaz’ is set in the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh, where director Anurag Kashyap was born.
