awards & competition
At the Indian Film Festival in Stuttgart, feature, short and documentary films compete for five prizes: the German Stars of India.
The winners in the categories of Best Feature, Short and Documentary are selected by an expert jury, usually made up of three people.
With the Director’s Vision Award, the Programme Committee honors directors who demonstrate extraordinary social or political commitment with their film contribution. The film category is irrelevant here.
At the Audience Award, it is the audience that matters: the audience’s favorite (or “crowd-pleaser”) is chosen from all the films shown at the festival. The viewers rate the festival contribution they have just watched directly after each film.
