Arijit hat geheiratet und ist kürzlich in sein Elternhaus zurückgekehrt, nachdem er fast das gesamte letzte Jahrzehnt in Mumbai gelebt hatte. Da sein Vater während der Corona-Pandemie verstarb, sieht sich Arijit nun mit der Situation konfrontiert, die Verantwortung für alles übernehmen zu müssen, was mit dem Betrieb des Hauses zu tun hat. Seine betagte Mutter hat Angst und ist fast schon paranoid, dass der große Baum in ihrem Garten in der bevorstehenden Zyklon-Saison auf das Haus stürzen könnte. Arijit versucht sie davon zu überzeugen, dass ihre Befürchtungen unbegründet sind. Der Baum sei groß und stabil. Es bedarf des Eingreifens zweier Vögel, um ihn an die tief verwurzelte Natur der Beziehung der Menschen zu den Lebewesen in ihrer Umgebung und auch zu ihrer Vergangenheit zu erinnern.
Arijit has gotten married and recently moved back to his own home after having lived in Mumbai for the best part of the last decade. His father having died during Covid, Arijit is faced with the situation of suddenly finding himself responsible for things revolving around the functioning of the house. His elderly mother is fearful and mostly paranoid that the large tree in their backyard will fall on the house in the upcoming cyclone season. Arijit argues that given the structure and nature of the tree, fears of it falling are unwarranted. The tree is rather large, and the cyclones have been getting worse. It takes an intervention from two birds to remind him of the deep-rooted nature of the relationship of humans with the creatures living around them and also with their past.
