This hybrid documentary is a personal essay by the filmmaker on the power and magic of storytelling and the contradictions of the Indian film industry. It follows the precarious lives of the below-the-line crew of a Bollywood film and shows the intense physical yet invisible labour behind India’s most popular art form. The film tells the stories of the workers behind the scenes and raises the question of what price has to be paid for the production of dreams for a billion cinema-loving people – and who pays this price.
